As a recent IDC survey showed, you can achieve better results by modernising rather than replatforming. This session will demonstrate examples of how you could modernise your interactions with core business services, with minimal effort and low costs. Working with a copy of the IMDB inside Db2 on AIX, can we use natural language and other data sources to solve the Curse of the Bond Girls?

This session will demonstrate how you can surround existing databases with simple microservices and call on services in Clouds to modernise in place and create Hybrid Cloud solutions. While the example will use Db2 on AIX, the approach can easily be applied to IBM i and other databases too.
